Who We Are
Normah Agro Farm has been in business, producing high quality produce (i.e. Maize, Rice, Chia Seeds and Soya Beans) in Uganda for the last 10 years.
We currently manage approximately 3,000 acres of farmland spread across Amuru district in the Northern Uganda, East Africa. Here we comply with all business and agricultural regulations and requirements in the country.
At our Normah Agro Farm, we know the seeds, soil and seasons of everything that we source for.

Each of our radically seasonal produce has its own unique story of craftsmanship which elevates it above the monotonous landscape of industrially-cultivated, year-round produce.
Building on years' experience of working with African farmers, Normah Agro Farm focuses on unleashing the productive power of the Ugandan agricultural potential.
As a cereal grain, it is the most widely consumed staple food for a large part of the world's human population in the world.
Rice is actually the seed of the grass species Oryza sativa (or Oryza glaberrima for African rice). Rice (a monocot) is normally grown as an annual plant. But in the tropical areas, the rice plants can survive as a perennial and can produce a ratoon crop for up to 30 years.
Maize has become a staple food in many parts of the world, with the total production of maize surpassing that of wheat or rice.
Its production has increased over the years as people change their consumption trends. It has evolved from a purely subsistence to a successful commercial crop. Maize is one of the most widely grown cereals in Uganda. This is so because of it is easy to bring up the crop.
Chia seeds are the edible seeds of Salvia hispanica, a flowering plant. Chia seeds reduce food cravings, help you stay hydrated, lower blood pressure & are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
Chia seeds are one of the nutritoius and healthy foods nowadays. Chia is a new crop among many farmers in the country with a potential of doing well and earn them sweet returns.
Soybeans or soya beans (Glycine max) are a type of legume native to eastern Asia. Soybeans are often eaten whole, but heavily processed soy products are much more common.
They are generally grown in a crop rotation with corn, creating good risk management for both crops by breaking disease, insect, and weed cycles, as well as managing farm workflow.
Achieving Seasonal produce that highlights the true cost of farming
Rice is one of the major staple foods in Uganda. Its production has increased over the years as people change their consumption trends. It has evolved from a purely subsistence to a successful commercial crop.
Improved rice production involves improved soil, nutrient management, water use, and tillage practices.
Soils are living systems that are vital for producing the food and fiber humans need and for maintaining the ecosystems on which all life ultimately depends. Soil directly and indirectly affects agricultural productivity, water quality, and the global climate through its function as a medium for plant growth, a regulator and partitioner of water flow.
